Welcome to our ‘new’ website!

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

I am delighted with its layout and am excited about the opportunities it will provide for us to interact more fully with our stakeholders, our carers and our staff.

I hope that you will take some time to look around the site and send in your feedback and views on how informative you find it.  We would also welcome suggestions on how we might improve it or include items that you would find useful.

I am very keen to engage more fully with carers around the East Midlands, to listen to their views and develop our services in a way that meet carers’ needs more fully.

We know that there are many carers who are ‘hidden’.  The new National Carers Strategy launched by government last year recognises that many people do not know that they are carers.  Sometimes people ‘fall’ into the role of caring without realising that they are either eligible for support or that they need some support to maintain their own health and wellbeing.

Crossroads Care East Midlands aims to help identify carers who are hidden and to provide support, advice and guidance to help all carers find some relief from their often arduous role.

We hope that our new website will help to provide some information for carers, to let them know that they are not alone and to encourage them to get in touch with us.
